Alexis Delgado Garcia

He/Him/El

Alexis Delgado Garcia is a community organizer, strategist, and movement builder dedicated to environmental and economic justice. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona’s Maryvale/Alhambra neighborhoods, Alexis comes from a multi-status family. His organizing journey began after witnessing the devastating impacts of the anti-immigrant law, SB 1070, which forced his family to leave Arizona in 2010. Alexis learned to organize within the community and build a collective voice in response to SB 1070’s unjust practices. His experience grew from canvassing into organizing field teams, actions and more as a Field Director. As Executive Director of Agave Community Threads, he leads efforts to empower communities and drive systemic change. With nearly a decade of experience in grassroots organizing, policy advocacy, and coalition building, Alexis has helped secure transformative wins, including funding for affordable housing, free college, and paid family leave. Rooted in love and resilience, he is committed to building a just and people-centered future.
